HISTORY

Our helicopters are a familiar sight in the Kootenays. Meet the man behind the scenes and HTH owner, Steve Benwell.

Steve is no stranger to hard work, a Kootenay local, logger and businessman. Steve started High Terrain originally in Meadow Creek with the Hiller 12E along side his logging business which is also still in operation.

Since then High Terrain has moved to it's main hangar in Nelson and operates smaller bases at Nelson Airport and now Nakusp.

Operating 365 days a year, flying 5 aircraft and employing 20 people year round.
